Sign in & projects

The first time you open Makion you connect it to your organization's Makion server, then sign in. After that you pick a project — the pairing of a codebase / SAP system with the roles, methodology and specs that apply to it. This page walks through all three.

Connect to your server#

On first launch — or any time the server is unreachable — Makion shows the Setup screen: Connect to your Makion server, with a Server URL field (placeholder https://makion.example.com) and a Connect button.

Enter the HTTPS URL your administrator gave you and click Connect.

This is the Makion backend URL, not the address of your SAP system. Your SAP connection is set up later, in the Systems tab. Entering a SAP address here will not work.

You can change the server later from Settings, or with the Change server link on the login screen, which returns you to the Setup screen.

The login screen shows the Makion brand and the tagline AI for SAP — development · consulting · support. There are two ways to sign in. If your server offers both, method tabs appear: Telegram and Email & password.

Method You'll need How it works
Telegram The Telegram app (phone or PC) Scan a QR code or open the Makion bot; confirm there and the app logs you in.
Email & password An account (or an invite code) Sign in with your email and password.

Sign in with Telegram#

  1. On the Telegram tab a QR code is shown: Scan with Telegram to sign in.
  2. Scan it with your phone, or click Open in Telegram on this PC.
  3. Telegram opens the Makion bot with a one-time start code. Confirm there.
  4. The app logs you in automatically.

The pairing code is short-lived (about 5 minutes) and regenerates if it expires — just scan the new one.

Sign in with email & password#

On the Email & password tab:

The first person ever to sign in becomes the administrator (superadmin) for the whole Makion instance.

No access yet?#

Everyone after the first user starts with no project access until an administrator grants them a role and adds them to a project. If you see No access yet or Your account doesn't have a role yet, that is expected — ask your administrator to give you access. See Users & access.

Projects#

Once you have access, the top bar shows a Project selector — a dropdown of the projects you can reach. Each entry shows the project name and its SAP system.

A project pairs a codebase / SAP system with the roles, methodology and specifications that apply to it. The real working unit is your developer identity × the selected project: your SAP connection and your chat history are scoped to that pair. Switch projects from the dropdown at any time.

If you are allowed to create projects, + New project sits at the bottom of the selector. It prompts for a name, and the creator becomes that project's admin. See Configuring projects.

The top bar and sidebar#

Beyond the project selector, the top bar and sidebar carry a few global controls.
